Jeremy Garrett Information
The Infamous Stringdusters, led by fiddler/vocalist/songwriter Jeremy Garrett, burst onto the scene in 2007 and won three awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association, including Album and Song of the Year. The band has since become a prominent representative of progressive bluegrass, performing for crowds at venues and festivals nationwide.
Because of his engaging performance style, Garrett has earned the nicknames "G-Grass" and "Freedom Cobra" among Stringdusters' devotees. While on the road with The Infamous Stringdusters, he showcases his unique fiddle approach with all-star lineups highlighting his bluegrass heritage. Jeremy's new CD "River Wild" has both original songs and a beautiful cover of the Kentucky Waltz.
As a songwriter, Garrett reveals a more personal side and has a large body of work of his creation. Several of the Stringdusters' songs were written by him, including "Let It Go," the title track from their 2014 album and the winner of the 2014 USA Songwriting Competition's Folk category. He has worked with many artists in songwriting, from Darrell Scott and Oliver Wood of The Wood Brothers to Jon Weisberger, Josh Shilling, Becky Buller, and more.
