Jeffrey Foucault Information
American composer and record producer Jeffrey Foucault (born January 26, 1976) hails from Whitewater, Wisconsin, and his music fuses elements of country, blues, rock 'n' roll, and folk. He has seven full-length albums under his name and two full-band albums out as Cold Satellite, a lyrical collaboration with poet Lisa Olstein. Since 2001, Foucault has done major full-band and solo tours across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Europe. As a duo with drummer Billy Conway, he toured from 2013 until 2020. (Morphine, Treat Her Right).
Signature Sounds, an independent record company situated in western Massachusetts, has previously released a few of Foucault's solo albums, including Stripping Cane (2004), Ghost Repeater (2006), and Horse Latitudes (2011). Salt As Wolves, his 2015 album, was independently published through BlueBlade Records. Eric Heywood (Son Volt, Pretenders, Ray Lamontagne), Bo Ramsey (Greg Brown, Lucinda Williams, Pieta Brown), Billy Conway (Morphine), Jennifer Condos (Joe Henry, Sam Phillips), Jeremy Moses Curtis (Booker T), David Goodrich (Chris Smither), Van Dyke Parks (Harry Nilsson, Ry Cooder, Ringo Starr), and Caitlin Canty have all played in.
So far, Foucault has produced three albums for various artists, including Hayward Williams's The Reef (2014), Caitlin Canty's Reckless Skyline (2015), and John Statz's Tulsa (2015). Foucault has featured songs on Sons of Anarchy, Preacher, and Nashville, and Don Henley played "Everybody's Famous" by Foucault on his 2011 California tour.
