Jeff Rosenstock Information
Jeffrey Ernest Rosenstock (September 7, 1982) is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and multi-instrumentalist. He was born and raised in Baldwin on New York’s Long Island. He plays different instrumentals such as the theremin, banjo, flute, French horn, clarinet, trumpet, ukulele, synthesizer, drums, organ, glockenspiel, bass, piano, keyboard, guitar, saxophone, and vocals. Rosenstock started his solo career in 2012 by releasing his debut solo mixtape entitled I Look Like Shit.
Rosenstock has performed with several other punk and ska rock bands such as AJJ, The Bruce Lee Band, and Mustard Plug. He has shared the stage with Bomb the Music Industry! band-mates Laura Stevenson and Lee Hartney as well. According to Rosenstock, his early musical influences were The Beach Boys, Pulp, and Tom Waits. He also founded the independent record label named Quote Unquote Records.
In his career, Rosenstock has also worked for other artists, including Dan Andriano, Laura Stevenson, The Smith Street band, and Mikey Erg. He also composed the music for the Cartoon Network series named, Craigh of the Creek. His solo studio albums include We Cool? (March 3, 2015), Worry (October 14, 2016), Post (January 1, 2018), No Dream (May 20, 2020), and Ska Dream (April 20, 2021).
Notable singles of Rosenstock’s solo career are “Ambient 7”, “Monday at the Beach,” “The Beauty of Breathing,” “All This Useless Energy,” “Melba,” “Dramamine,” “Pash Rash,” “Blast Damage Days,” “Planet Luxury,” and “Wave Goodnight to Me.”
