Jamie Lin Wilson is an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter born in Sealy, Texas. She first picked up the guitar at 19, which was gifted to Wilson by one of his cousins on Christmas. Soon she began attending open mics held in College Station. Wilson was immediately welcomed into the club full of aspiring pickers and writers. It included some future fellows, such as Gouger Shayne Walker. She also fronted and co-fronted beloved bands, including the Gougers and the Trishas. Wilson won listeners across the country quicker than she expected. She is heavily praised for her blend of freshness and road-earned wisdom.

After taking a break for several years, she released another album entitled Jumping Over Rocks in 2018. She recorded this album during a 4-day stay at Arlyn Studios in Austin. The fierce cast of polished musicians who joined her for this recording includes Charlie Sexton on guitar. Some of the hit songs in the album are “Oklahoma Stars,” Death & Life,” “The Being Gone,” and “Eyes For You.” Wilson also released an EP entitled Dirty Blond Hair. The extended play came out in 2010.
