Jake Scott is an American producer, pop singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas. In the fall of 2013, Scott self-produced and published his debut EP, Of Life, Love, and Longing. The EP soon attracted the attention of business professionals, including Grammy Award-winning songwriter and producer David Hodges, and debuted at number four on the singer-songwriter charts and was highlighted on the Billboard Heat-Seekers chart. After obtaining Hodges's publishing agreement in 2014, Scott relocated to Los Angeles to continue his musical career.
Scott started penning songs for other singers around 2014. His collaboration with Aloe Blacc, most recently on the lead single "Brooklyn in the Summer," is what made him most famous. Scott's album, Silhouettes and Sand, was published in 2015. With the track "Tuesdays," Scott started releasing a song monthly in 2018. Scott had 50,000 Spotify subscribers at the beginning of this endeavor, and as of 2020, that number has crossed 3,000,000. Scott's debut tour was a success and sold out in February 2020.
