Infected Mushroom Information
Producers Erez Eisen and Amit Duvdevani created the Israeli musical duo Infected Mushroom in Haifa in 1996. Psytrance, electronica, dream trance, and psychedelic music are among the genres they make and perform. In terms of domestic and international sales, they are one of the most successful bands in Israeli music history. In 1996, Eisen and Duvdevani started playing together for the first time. Shidapu & Duvdev was the name given to a couple of their early works. The duo then changed their name to Infected Mushroom, which they took from a defunct local punk band.
The Gathering, their debut album, was released in 1999 and was inspired by Simon Posford, X-Dream, and Transwave. The iconic tune "Psycho," which uses a sample from Batman & Robin, defined the album's gloomy, rhythmic sound ambiance. It was one of the first albums to introduce Israeli psytrance to a wider audience, and it helped to popularise the genre around the world.
"Bust a Move" was included on their Classical Mushroom album from 2000. The album is widely regarded as one of the group's best, a continuation of their sound growth, and it is still one of the most well-known in the genre. The musical epic "Dancing with Kadafi" from the duo's 2001 B.P. Empire is famous for fusing several kinds of music, most notably through middle-eastern type melodies and a classical break that shows Erez and Amit's piano skills. The band does 120 live shows each year on average.
