Immediate Family Information
The Immediate Family is an American rock and roll band. The current lineup of the group consists of Russ Kunkel (drums), Leland Sklar (bass), Waddy Wachtel (guitar and vocals), and Danny Kortchmar (guitar and vocals). The band has collaborated frequently both in the studio and on-stage. Their music can be heard on David Crosby, Neil Young, Graham Nash, Warren Zevon, Keith Richards, Stevie Nicks, Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, and Jackson Browne.
Sklar had the most having credits of any of the members of the Immediate Family who have worked on more than 2,600 albums so far. The band also has a season touring and session member, Steve Postell. He has worked with Robben Ford, John Oates, Michael McDonald, Jennifer Warnes, and David Crosby. Postell has also released many solo records, such as the critically acclaimed “Time Still Knockin” through Immergent Records.
The Immediate Family released its debut EP, Slippin’ and Slidin’, in 2020. In 2021, they released their self-titled debut album. Notable singles of the group are “Turn It Up to Ten,” “Everything That’s Broken,” “Time to Come Clean,” “House Will Fall,” “Not Made That Way,” “A Thing of the Past,” “Somebody’s Baby,” “Johnny Strikes Up the Band,” and “Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead.”
