Imagine Dragons is an American pop-rock band founded in 2008 and located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The current lineup is Dan Reynolds, Wayne Sermon, Ben McKee, and Daniel Platzman. Their first song, "It's Time," brought them widespread attention, and their first album, Night Visions (2012), was the "biggest rock hit of the year," according to Billboard, with more weeks than any other album in the band's history.
Three AMMs, nine Billboards, one Grammy, one MTV VMA, and one World Music Award have gone to Imagine Dragons. Among the fourteen Billboard Music Awards that the band was considered for in May 2014 were the Top Artist of the Year and Milestone Awards, which honor groundbreaking work from musicians of all stripes. Eleven Billboard Music Awards nominations were extended to the band in April 2018.
The band started posting teasers for new music on March 10, 2024. An announcement was made on April 1 regarding releasing a new song named "Eyes Closed" on April 3. The song serves as the album's lead single, promoting the band's upcoming sixth studio album. The announcement that Loom would be the new album title and would be released on June 28, 2024, was made on April 22.
