Ignescent Information
Ignescent, a rock band led by women from Chicago, was formed by Jennifer Benson. Since early 2018, the band's main traveling focus has been the Midwest and the Nashville region. "Remnant," Ignescent's most recent song, peaked at forty-six on the Billboard Rock Charts and no. 6 on the Christian Rock Charts. The band's debut album, Electrified, was made at Lakeside Studios in Knoxville, Tennessee, and its producer, Travis Wyrick (10 Years, P.O.D. ), won four Dove Awards and was nominated for a Grammy.
"Calling Out to You," the album's opening track, was composed by Ben Kasica, formerly Skillet's lead guitarist, and reached the top 30 on the Christian Billboard Rock Charts. Their single "Exodus" was written with Jeremy Valentyne on New Year's Day, and their song "You Got Me" has been played on numerous radio stations, including 95 WIIL Rock.
The likes of Stryper, Flyleaf, Eve 6, Megadeth, Saliva, Lacey Sturm, Otep, Fight The Fury (starring John Cooper of Skillet), Buckcherry, Dan Sperry (of America's Got Talent), Meytal Cohen, Another Lost Year, Art of Dying, Letters From the Fire, and Like a Storm have all welcomed Ignescent to their stages as support acts. Besides Switchfoot, Colton Dixon, Memphis May Fire, The Devil Wears Prada, Veridia, Building 429, Chris Tomlin, and TobyMac, the band has performed at festivals together.
