iDKHOW Information
I Don't Know How, But They Found Me, or IDKHow as it is more commonly known, is a Salt Lake City, Utah-based American indie pop solo project that features bassist and lead singer Dallon Weekes. Ryan Seaman and Dallon Weekes were friends for a long time and had collaborated before the band was ever formed. During Weekes' solo endeavors, Seaman contributed drums to tracks including "Sickly Sweet Holidays" and "Please Don't Jump (It's Christmas)" and was a member of Weekes' previous band, The Brobecks, in 2008.
Weekes and Ryan Seaman, who had previously played drums for the Salt Lake City band The Brobecks and would leave the group in 2023, created the pair in 2016. Featured on the March 2018 cover of Rock Sound, the pair was hailed as "the hottest unsigned band in the world" before their Fearless Records contract. A new song and music video for iDKHow's "WHAT LOVE?" were released on October 5, 2023.
The band also announced the release of their sophomore album, Gloom Division, on February 23, 2024. In addition to announcing their worldwide "GLOOMTOWN" tour in 2024 to promote the new record, the band held a local concert that year with a Christmas theme. Debuting on December 7, 2023, "GLOOMTOWN BRATS" was the second single. The third single and music video for "INFATUATION" were released on January 11, 2024. The fourth single from Gloom Division, DOWNSIDE, was formally released on February 23, 2024.
