Honeysuckle Information
Honeysuckle's latest single, "Not So Bad," is an introspective look at maturing and the influential adults in our lives. The words are a montage of fond memories from childhood, put to a lush and lyrical backing melody. The music, which begins sparsely and builds throughout, represents the maturation from a child to an adult. This is the third of five new songs to be released this year, and it was released in June of 2023 as a single.
This duo from upstate New York consists of Holly McGarry and Chris Bloniarz, who regularly play shows around the United States. Newport Folk Festival, Mountain Jam, Americanafest, Lollapalooza, Otis Mountain Get Down, and Audiotree are just a few festivals that Honeysuckle has played at. The Boston Music Awards have recognized him as Americana Artist of the Year in 2019 and Folk Artist of the Year in 2018. Honeysuckle was recently included as one of NPR's "Top 10 Bands of 2016 So Far."
Honeysuckle's "Great Divide" was their fourth studio album, and it was published that year (2021). Additionally, they have released four full-length albums and an EP: "Fire Starter" (2019), "Catacombs" (2017), "Honeysuckle" (2016), and "Arrows" (2015).
