Olivier J. L. Heldens (February 1, 1995) is a Dutch Rotterdam D.J. and electronic music artist. Many consider him an early trailblazer in the future house movement; his songs "Gecko (Overdrive)," "Last All Night (Koala)," "The Right Song," "Fire in My Soul," and "Turn Me On" were huge hits on the charts and captured the attention of listeners across the world. Under the moniker HI-LO—the reversal of "Oli H," he creates techno music and manages the record label Heldeep Records.
His music has been listened to over a billion times, putting him in the 460th spot among Spotify artists as of February 2021. The South Korean girl group Itzy and he worked together in early 2020 to create a bonus tune called "Ting Ting Ting." Heldens dropped a cover version of "Daisies" by Katy Perry in June of that year. He also put out solo tracks. The songs "Take A Change" and "The G.O.A.T." are among them, as is "Details," a duet with Mesto that features Boy Matthews on vocals. His debut single was a 2022 cover of "In the Dark" by Purple Disco Machine with Sophie and the Giants. "Industria" was HI-LO's next single, which featured Eli Brown.
Once again featuring Anabel Englund on vocals, he announced a new song with Tchami in March 2022. Additionally, he has announced that HI-LO would be collaborating with Layton Giordani and Space 92, two techno musicians. Heldeep Records and R.C.A. Records (Sony) represent Heldens, managed by Milk & Honey's Lucas Keller, Alex Harrow, and Dave Frank. Universal Music Publishing also publishes his music globally.
