Hayley Nichole Williams (December 27, 1988) is an American singer and songwriter. She is popular as the primary songwriter, lead vocalist, and keyboardist of the rock band Paramore. Williams was born and raised in Meridian, Mississippi. She is also a businesswoman. Her general music genres are alternative rock, pop-rock, power pop, emo-pop, emo, and pop-punk. After moving to Franklin, Tennessee, Williams met her future bandmates, Josh and Zac Farro, at the school. She also took vocal lessons along with Brett Manning.
Williams entered the industry in 003 when managers Dave Steunebrink and Richard Williams discovered her. She was only 14 at that time and used to write pop songs with songwriters in Nashville. At the same time, Williams founded a pop-punk music band by the name Paramore. This was created along with Josh Farro, Zac Farro, and Jeremy Davis. The debut album by this band was All We Know Is Falling, which was released in 2005. The other four albums by Paramore are Riot! (2007), Brand New Eyes (2009), After Laughter (2017), and self-titled Paramore (2013).
Some of the discographies released by Williams as a solo artist are Petals for Armor, EP Petals for Armor I (February 6, 2020), and a few more. Many of her hit singles include "Wearing Your Ring," "Teenagers," "Airplanes," "Stay the Night," "Vicious Love," and a few more. Some other ventures in which she has been featured are online beauty and music series Kiss-Off. This was launched in 2015 on Popular TV.
Williams has won many awards during her career, including Kerrang Readers' Poll 2008, Los Premios MTV Latinoamérica, MTV Video Music Brazil, Shockwaves NME Awards 2009, 57th Annual Grammy Awards, Alternative Press Music Awards 2015, and several nominations.
