Hayden James is an Australian record producer, DJ, and singer. He was born in Sydney, New South Wales. In June 2013, James released his first single, "Permission to Love," which featured remixes by Touch Sensitive and Charles Murdoch from his label. Hayden James, his debut EP, was released on August 30, 2013. Since then, James has toured with Disclosure and Odesza in the United States and Australia. He's also performed at the Splendour in the Grass and Groovin The Moo music festivals in Australia. His track "Something About You," published in December 2014 and streamed over 68 million times, was certified gold in Australia.
James released "Just a Lover" in June 2016, which was nominated for an ARIA Award for Best Dance Release, followed by a national tour with producer Dena Amy as support. James toured Europe and North America from 2016 to 2017, co-writing a handful of songs for Katy Perry's Witness album and working on his debut studio album. [2] In October of 2017, Graace's song "Numb" was released. James stated in May 2019 that his debut studio album, Between Us, would be released on June 14, 2019. Lifted, James' second studio album, was released on April 8, 2022.
