Have Mercy is an American rock band based in Baltimore, Maryland. The current lineup of the group consists of Nick Woolford (backing vocals and bass guitar), Todd Wallace (drums), Brian Swindle (keyboards, guitars, and lead vocals), and Andrew Johnson (backing vocals and guitar). Have Mercy was formed in late 2009 after drummer Aaron Alt and guitarist Joey McCusker left their previous band. Following their formative years in the metal scene, they approached longtime buddy Brian Swindle to lead the band, looking for something different.
Since then, they've released three albums, two EPs, and two splits. The Earth Pushed Back, their debut album, was published in 2013 by Topshelf Records. Their second album, a Place of Our Own, was released in 2014 on Hopeless Records. On April 21, 2017, Hopeless Records released their third album, Make the Best of It. The Love Life, Have Mercy's fourth album, was released in 2019.
The band teased a new EP through Instagram on January 2, 2022, with a studio photo featuring former leader Brian Swindle's bandmates Andrew Johnson, Todd Wallace, and Nick Woolford.
