Hania Rani Information
Hanna Raniszewska (1990), better known as Hania Rani, is a multi-instrumentalist from Poland. She was born in Gdansk. She attended the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and the Feliks Nowowiejski Music School in Gdansk to study music.
Though she had classical piano training, jazz became an integral part of Rani's repertoire when she was in school. In 2015, she worked with Dobrawa Czocher on the album Biala Flaga, which featured their interpretations of music composed by Grzegorz Ciechowski, a Pole.
Rani began to play around with composition and improvisation during the epidemic. Her current musical focus is on post-classical (or neo-classical) styles. She has ambiguously muddled the conventional borders between jazz, classical music, and house music.
Rani has gone on a sonic journey, crafting an intriguing album whose tracks connect well. It was released under Gondwana Records on April 5, 2019, and got ZPAV Gold approval. The artist then went through emotional scenes in records like "Home" (May 2020) and "Music for Film and Theatre" (June 2021), both released under the same label.
The future was opened by collaborative projects, like "Inner Symphonies" with Dobrawa Czocher, which came out on Deutsche Grammophon on October 15, 2021. "On Giacometti" (February 17, 2023) was a more personal exploration that wasn't limited by a title.
