Guylaine Tanguay is a Lac-St-Jean native singer and songwriter. She grew up in a music-loving family, which allowed her to take the stage for the first time at seven years old. Tanguay sang in a group along with her uncle and mother. In the following years, she made her mark by winning many competitions. Soon Tanguay was invited to participate in various festivals, local television shows, and telethons.
In 1986, Tanguay participated in the “Music-Art” competition, which was orchestrated by Télé-Métropole. Following this remarkable passage, she was offered to be part of the shows for several renowned artists, including Fernand Gignac. In 1991, she returned to Europe and performed 28 shows on tour in many France and Belgium cities.
Tanguay also worked in close collaborations with American country music names such as Gilles Godard, Terri Clark, and Steve Mandile. Loss of Control was one of her initial studio albums that came out in 1988. Some of her other recent albums include For a Country Christmas 2006, The Green Book (more) 2014, and 3764 Elvis Presley Blvd 2018.
