Guerilla Toss Information
Guerilla Toss is an American rock band. The current lineup consists of Watley (dog), Matthew Mann (visuals), William Dantzler (visuals), Zach Lewelleyn (bass), Sam Lisabeth (keyboards), Arian Shafiee (guitar), Peter Negroponte (drums), and Kassie Carlson (vocals and violin). When singer Kassie Carlson joined Guerilla Toss in 2012, its members considered it officially begun. The band's original members included her, drummer Peter Negroponte, bassist Simon Hanes, guitarist Arian Shafiee, and keyboardist Ian Kovac. Carlson's first introduction to Guerilla Toss was at a house performance where she saw her former hardcore band, Western Syndrome, share the bill with Guerilla Toss.
On July 21st, 2012, Guerilla Toss played a show at Gay Gardens. Kassie Carlson and Simon Hanes, clockwise from the top left. Both Carlson and Negroponte, at different times, called the display house Gay Gardens in Boston, Massachusetts, home while on tour with Guerilla Toss. Guerrilla Toss's Jeffrey Johnson was released on Feeding Tube Records later that year. They also won the "Best Emerging New England Band of 2012" prize from The Deli.
The experimental musician John Zorn's record company, Tzadik Records, published Guerilla Toss's EP GTOSS in May 2013. Kicked Back into the Crypt was a split LP between the band and the noise rock band The Sediment Club, issued in the latter half of that year on Sophomore Lounge Records and Feeding Tube Records.
