Greer Information
Greer is a Southern California-bred alt-rock band that was founded in the fall of 2018. Since its inception, the band moved forward with incredible momentum. The band’s music was fueled by the immaculate songwriting and unguarded sincerity of the members. Currently, Greer is based in Costa Mesa, named after Lucas’s former girlfriend, Emma Greer DiBiase, who died from a rare form of cancer called alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma at the age of 16. Other group members include Seth, Corbin, Josiah, and a few more. Corbin started to sing in a choir as a kindergartener and began playing cello in school. Josiah, however, was a singer almost his entire life, and Lucas grew up with his father’s drumkit in the garage.
Greer played its first gig at L.A.’s iconic D.I.Y. venue The Smell. Soon the band self-released their magnetic debut single “Song for Me," followed by another entitled “Bittersweet.” The two singles earned a devoted fanbase, and the band soon landed a deal with Epitaph Records. Greer released its debut EP Lullaby for You via this label, which was a five-song project. The EP transforms moments of profound heartache and romantic angst into massively catchy pop songs. Some of the other tracks by Greer “Aeroplane,” “Bye Bye Baby,” “Understand,” “Paper Birds,” and “Stay Clear."
