Grace Weber Information
Grace Weber (June 28, 1988) is an American R&B singer, songwriter, and producer. She was born in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. She joined Milwaukee's Central City Youth Gospel Choir at the age of 12 and began singing gospel at churches and revivals all around the city. She made her national television debut in 2004 at the age of 16 on Showtime at the Apollo in Harlem, New York. She was also asked to perform at Mia Hamm and Nomar Garciaparra's wedding in Santa Barbara, California, in the same year.
Through her acquisition of the Silver Award in Popular Voice from the National Young Arts Foundation in the same year, she was nominated for and became a Presidential Scholar for the Arts. Weber followed up with a performance at the Kennedy Center as part of the Presidential Scholars. Weber entered The Oprah Winfrey Show's Karaoke Challenge in 2009, when she was a senior at NYU, with a video of herself singing Aretha Franklin's "Natural Woman."
Weber was chosen to play at the official commemoration of the 10th anniversary of 9/11 in Paris. She delivered her original song "Leave the Light On" before releasing her first album, Hope & Heart, in 2011. The Refinery, Weber's second film, began filming in 2013. The pop ballad "Till I Hurt You," the third song from the album, aired on Conan O'Brian's Team Coco.
