Girl Named Tom Information
Girl Named Tom is an American pop sibling trio consisting of Bekah Grace Liechty (August 2000), Joshua Liechty (1998), and Caleb Liechty (1995). The group is from Pettisville, Ohio. As the first three to win the American version of The Voice, they have made history as the victors of season 21 of the American talent competition.
Kelly Clarkson's team, which they were a part of, won for the fourth time in her coaching history. The idea for the band's name came from Joshua's habit of calling his sister Bekah "Thomas" as a newborn, inspired by Joshua and Caleb's want for a younger sibling.
In 2019, the three siblings who were supposed to attend medical school instead started a band. In November of the same year, they published their first single, Barrier Island, independently. In December 2019, they released their first EP, Another World.
The siblings auditioned for the 21st season of The Voice in September 2021, using Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young's "Helplessly Hoping" as their presentation. Season 21's initial audition and first four-chair round were earned by them. The trio declared the November 11 release date of their second album, One More Christmas, on November 2, 2022. The band also announced they would be the opening act for Pentatonix's upcoming "A Christmas Spectacular" tour.
During the season 22 finals of The Voice on December 13, 2022, the group sang the album's title tune, "One More Christmas." After the show, "One More Christmas" went straight to the top of the iTunes chart.
