Gioli and Assia Information
Giolì & Assia is an Italian duo of DJs, live performers, record label owners, singers, songwriters, producers, and multi-instrumentalists. The duo makes music that is distinctly theirs, blending pop, indie, and house elements. Gioli plays the guitar, drums, cello, and piano, while Assia handles lead vocals and plays the guitar. In 2016, their creative cooperation evolved into a production and songwriting duo, despite their connection as manager and artist. Diesis Records, their record label imprint, was created later that year to release their songs.
The project was launched in 2017 with the single "Stay Closer," which was followed by "Paradise to Share," "Endless," and "How Can I." They released their debut album, Istantanee, in March 2018, with the lead single "Starry Nights" making its debut in front of TimeOut72, India's largest music festival.
Gioli & Assia's track "Something Special" was released in May 2018 with Spinnin' Records, garnering them enough recognition for their first residency in Ibiza at Privilege. Gioli & Assia were so inspired by their stay in Ibiza that they published Night Experience, their second album of the year, on their label Diesis Records. The debut song, "Mad in Love," focused on their distinctive melodic techno and pop blend.
