Gettoblaster Information
Gettoblaster is a collaboration between Zach Bletz and Paul Anthony. Originally from Chicago (Paul) and Detroit, they are now headquartered in the United States (Zach). While Detroit was at the forefront of the techno trend in the late '80s, Chicago is more commonly credited with launching the house music genre. Gettoblaster's music honors the traditions of its component genres while forging a new path by fusing techno and house. Famous musicians, including Bad Boy Bill, Steve "Silk" Hurley, DJ Funk, Roland Clark, and Chip E., have all worked with them.
Gettoblaster, a group that didn't exist before 2014, launched their record label and dropped their first album, We Jack. The subsequent year exposed other notable house producers like Bad Boy Bill and DJ Deeon. Gettoblaster's second studio album, Diamonds & Palm Trees, was also released that year. Gettoblaster toured Europe in 2017, playing shows all across the continent. Following a successful 2018 U.S. tour, Gettoblaster released their debut single, Get Dat, on Claude VonStroke's Dirtybird Records in 2019.
