Deen Castronovo, a singer-songwriter and drummer, formed the hard rock ensemble Generation Radio in 2020. They have a reputation for playing traditional heavy metal in the vein of bands like Aerosmith, Van Halen, and Cream. Castronovo, Jay DeMarcus, Jason Scheff, Chris Rodriguez, and Tom Yankton are the team's other members.
Before his solo career, Castronovo found success as a member of the legendary classic rock band Journey, with whom he continues to tour. As a session musician, he has enjoyed playing alongside luminaries like Steve Vai, Paul Rodgers, and Ozzy Osbourne. In 2020, he developed the concept of Generation Radio, a heavy metal supergroup featuring some of the genre's most prominent musicians. Castronovo plays drums for the band and also sings lead vocals alongside Jay DeMarcus.
DeMarcus has won two Grammys with the country-rock band Rascal Flatts, for whom he is best known. In addition to Castronovo and DeMarcus, the roster features Chicago legend Jason Scheff and acclaimed Christian music songwriter Chris Rodriguez.
