Gary Robert Edwards is a former Professional Ballroom Dancer who has been dancing since the age of 7. He was born in Essex, United Kingdom, and now divides his time between homes in the UK and Miami Beach, Florida. He has earned over 30 international titles, including British Open Latin, UK Open 10 Dance title, and British Open Ballroom. Edwards has danced professionally in 60 countries and was previously ranked number one in the World 10 Dance Championship. He is well-praised as a world-class Adjudicator in the Ballroom, Latin American, and Salsa, rock and roll, and freestyle.
Edwards has judged more than 38 World Championships and appeared in several TV productions, including "BBC Come Dancing" and "BBC Dirty Dancing." He has had the opportunity to dance with legends like Janet Jackson, Barry White, MC Hammer, Whitney Houston, and Michael Jackson.
Gary Edwards is serving on the advisory panel of the upcoming Pro-Am reality TV show entitled "Ballroom Blitz." The show is a creation by Linda Pope and Simon Fuller. Some of his notable accomplishments include earning a coveted appointment to the Royal Family of Brunei, 2014 patron of the WDSA/UK Wheelchair DanceSport Association, and co-organized the 2006 Bill and Bobbie Irvine Awards.
