Formed in Newark, New Jersey, in 1960, the Four Seasons are an American foursome specializing in rock' n roll and doo-wop. The current lineup of Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio (keyboards and tenor vocals), Tommy DeVito (lead guitar and baritone vocals), and Nick Massi (bass guitar and bass vocals) is a direct descendant of the first band, The Four Lovers. They were known as The Four Seasons on almost all of their popular songs from the 1960s.
Worldwide, their albums have sold over 100 million copies, making them one of the most successful musical groups ever. Launching a YouTube channel in 2020, the group showcased virtual re-recordings of several tracks. Originally scheduled for publication in the summer of 2021 by The Four Seasons Partnership and Snapper Records, the limited-edition 44-disc career box set "Working Our Way Back to You: The Ultimate Collection" was postponed due to the pandemic.
The box set's original release date was December 9, 2022, but it was later moved to April 14, 2023. Finally, on June 2, 2023, the Four Seasons Partnership and Madfish/Snapper Music issued the box set. As part of their farewell tour, Last Encores, the Four Seasons will perform at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino multiple times between now and 2024.
