Born in the year 1965 in December, Frank Vignola is a guitarist who is known for playing in genres such as swing, gypsy, classical, fusion, pop, and jazz. He spent most of his childhood in Long Island, New York, where he grew up. Vignola started playing the guitar from the age of five years, with a little help from his father, who played the accordion as well as the banjo and from the records by Joe Pass, Bucky Pizzarelli, Johnny Smith, and Django Reinhardt. By the time Vignola was twelve years old, he had already picked up the banjo and two years after which he was able to win a national championship that took place in Canada.
He has written more than 15 instruction based manuals for Mel Bay, who is known for his series of educational books for music. He has also produced many instructions based DVD’s and is also known for teaching courses on the internet. He has also made an appearance on famous shows on the TV, including “Four Generations of Guitar” and “Tommy Emmanuel and friends.” However, in May of 2017, Frank Vignola was faced with a severe ATV injury which almost cost him his career as a guitarist. However, he was able to make a comeback by May 2018.
