Foster The People Information
Foster the People is an indie pop band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 2009. Its members comprise keyboardist Isom Innis and creator and vocalist Mark Foster. After living several years in Los Angeles working as a commercial jingle composer and struggling musician, Foster started the band in 2009. Foster's 2010 viral hit "Pumped Up Kicks" earned the band a record contract with Startime International and a fanbase from small club and festival performances.
Foster the People released their second album, Supermodel, in March 2014, following two years of touring to accompany Torches. The main hit, "Coming of Age," preceded it. With previous touring musicians Isom Innis and Sean Cimino on the official roster, the band unveiled their third studio album, Sacred Hearts Club, in July 2017.
Between 2018 and 2021, the band released two EPs, many singles, and one album reissue. On May 31, 2024, a fresh single called "Lost in Space" was released. Their fourth album was released in 2024 and received favorable reviews.
