Finesse Mitchell Information
Alfred Langston "Finesse" Mitchell is an author, actor, and stand-up comedian from Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from the University of Miami, where Mitchell was a member of the football team and the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. His first television appearance was on BET’s Comic View in 1999. Mitchell instantly became a favorite among the show’s loyal followers. This was followed by several appearances on The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
Mitchell became a featured performer on Saturday Night Live 2003, and after two seasons, he was promoted to a full cast member. After his stint on SNL, Mitchell continued with stand-up comedy performances. He also appeared in the films Mad Money and Who's Your Caddy?, and The Comebacks.
Mitchell also appeared on The Today Show, Tyra and Chelsea Lately, the Comedy Central sketch series Nick Swardson's Pretend Time, and Ron White’s Comedy Salute to the Troops. Mitchell released his stand-up comedy entitled Snap Famous, with Quincy Jones’s son, QD3. He also works as a writer and offers relationship advice in Essence magazine.
Your Girlfriends Only Know So Much is a book written by Mitchell, which gives dating advice to African-American women. He even participated in Fox's dating game show The Choice in 2012. Some of his celebrity impressions on SNL include Andre 3000, Colin Powell, Kevin Eubanks, Morgan Freeman, and Stephen A. Smith, to name a few.
