Experience Janis is an American rock 'n roll tribute band that pays tribute to Janis Joplin. The band leader is known as CC Coletti, and it is said that she embodies the real spirit of Janis Joplin. Experience Janis is from New Jersey and includes Anthony Krizan-guitar and backing vocals, Jim Ruffi- Dums, T.J. Jablonski-Bass, and backing vocals, Dan Lieske-Keys, and CC Coletti- Lead vocals, along with a three-piece horn section put together by Tony Perruso.
CC Coletti is known for throwing hit after hit in a heartfelt tribute performance. Her band is famous for recreating the sound that has defined all the major elements that made Joplin a legend. Joplin's music was the definition of a generation, slamming through classic 60s jams, conveying the tender ballads as well as old-timey blues, and laying down the soul.
CC discovered the music of Janis Joplin when she was 13. She, along with Experience Janis, delivers the best deep cuts by Janis via their peppering hit-filled sets. The sights and sounds of the performance complement each other. The stage for Experience Janis is time-warped back to the psychedelic 60s, having lava lamps, tie-dye, and choice threads.
