EmiSunshine Information
Emilie Sunshine Hamilton (June 8, 2004) is an American singer and songwriter who is professionally known as EmiSunshine. She was born in Madisonville, Tennessee, and was singing with her grandmother when she was three years old. At the age of four, she performed in front of an audience for the first time playing “You Are My Sunshine” for the wedding of her aunt and uncle. She soon began to sing in festivals and churches throughout Eastern Tennessee. She simultaneously recorded her first two albums at seven named Wide River to Cross and Strong as the Tall Pine.
One of EmiSunshine’s videos was posted by her fan on YouTube, singing the “Blue Yodel No. 6” of Louis Armstrong and Jimmie Rodgers while only nine. The video went viral and attracted millions of views. After such a response, she was invited to perform on the Today show by NBC. Her televised video attracted even more attention to her music. This inspired her to write songs and regularly appear on stage with some of the established artists.
EmiSunshine made her debut performance at the Grand Ole Opry in 2014. The same year, she released her debut single entitled “Oh Mary, Where Is Your Baby?” and the next year, she released another single named “I Am Able.” She released a studio album on January 25, 2014, entitled Black Sunday ’35. Other notable studio albums by EmiSunshine include American Dream (October 22, 2016), Ragged Dreams (August 25, 2017), and Family Wars (October 18, 2019). Two of her hit singles include “Stars” (June 12, 2020) and “Stargate” (October 23, 2020).
