Element Information
Element is an Indonesian band founded in 1999. The current lineup of the group consists of Adhitya Pratama (guitar), Fajar Maringka (keyboards), Didi Riyadi (drums), Lucky Widja, and Ferdy Tahier (vocals). The band’s founding members were three close friends, Didi Riyadi, Ronny Setiawan, and Lucky Widja. They were models working for Aneka Magazine when they decided to form a musical group.
Element released its debut album entitled “Hanyalah Cinta” in 2000. The first song, of which the album was named after, was the debut album's main focal point. The second song from the album was “Galau.” The album was released under Universal Music Indonesia, and at that time, the management of Element was handled by Oxygen Entertainment.
Element released its second album entitled “Kupingahkan Nirwana” in 2001, which exhibited a different musical vitality and imagery. In March 2002, the band received a Golden Award from Universal after selling more than 100,000 copies. In the same month, the band released another album in Malaysia.
Element has worked with several record labels since they have started their career, including Universal Records, EMI Records, Warner Bros, RANS Records, and MS Records. The band released its third album entitled “Paradoks” on August 22, 2002. Some other notable albums released so far are New World – Resonance (2020), Save the Best for Last (2014), Light (2008), and Dialogue (2005).
