Eddy de Pretto (May 2, 1993) is a French actor, singer, and songwriter. He was born in Creteil, France. After beginning his acting career in television commercials—such as his portrayal of a young Julius Caesar for CanalSat in September 2010—Eddy de Pretto moved on to the stage and screen. His film credits include the 2012 Philipp Mayrhofer short Königsberg and the 2013 Paul D. Meyer short Vivre sa vie, as well as a role as "the young hippy buyer" in Jérôme Enrico's feature film Paulette.
He started composing music between the ages of 18 and 19. The youth center was the venue for his first performance, a rendition of "I Believe I Can Fly" by R. Kelly. On October 6, 2017, he dropped his debut extended play named Kid. He used sound snippets from an iPhone he had wired up for live performances of the EP. He only had a drummer performing at his shows.
On January 2, 2018, episode of Taratata, he and Julien Doré did a duet of "Comme un boomerang," a song composed by Serge Gainsbourg and first recorded by Dani and Étienne Daho in 2001. His debut album, Cure, was released on CD, vinyl, and digital formats on March 2, 2018.
