DROELOE Information
Droeloe is a Dutch art duo comprising Hein Hamers and Vincent Rooijers. With a musical childhood, Vincent Rooijers started rapping and writing songs at 14. At 10, Hein Hamers started making music and was greatly influenced by hardstyle. When the two met, Hein studied image and media technology at the Utrecht School of the Arts when he developed an interest in visual design.
Through the "Pokoe Pack" mixes they published to SoundCloud, Droeloe acquired popularity. San Holo noticed the duo at the beginning of 2016 and pushed them to release music on his inventive record company, bitbird. With the singles "Make My Day" and "ZzZ," the latter peaked at #1 on Hype Machine, they first became prominent. Martin Garrix, a musician, has praised them, and Trap Nation has backed them.
As of April 2020, more than 27 million Spotify streams had been made of Droeloe's official remix of Charlie Puth and Selena Gomez's song "We Don't Talk Anymore." Over 500,000 SoundCloud streams were swiftly accumulated for the bitbird track "Wake the Warrior." They self-directed the music video accompanying the song, demonstrating their filmmaking and artistic design abilities.
Droeloe also released music on other labels, including the single "Bon Voyage," which has had over 5 million Spotify streams, and Lowly Palace in 2017 with "In Time." Together with her longtime mentor San Holo, Droeloe embarked on a North American tour in March 2017 with the release of "Lines of the Broken," which was played on BBC Radio 1's Diplo & Friends.
