Australian musician Angus Stone performs under the stage name Dope Lemon. Dope Lemon is the moniker he adopted in 2016 after spending the previous decade as part of the indie pop duo Angus & Julia Stone. His music, notably on his most recent album, Rose Pink Cadillac, is characterized by dreamy vocals, soft guitar riffs, and an "anything goes" mood.
Stone's farmhouse served as the setting for the recording of Honey Bones, Dope Lemon's 2016 first album, featuring contributions from Robin Brown and Elliott Hammond. The EP Hounds Tooth arrived the next year. The catchy new single "Hey You" and an additional studio album titled Smooth Big Cat brought Dope Lemon back in 2019. To his fans' joy, his beach rock sound persisted.
