Dorothy Miranda Clark (April 11, 1995) is an English singer, songwriter, author, and YouTuber. She is better known as Dodie. She was born in Enfield, London. Dodie attended The Leventhorpe School. After completing school, she moved to Bath, England, with another YouTuber, Jamie Jo. Her first YouTube channel was “Dodders5,” which is now known as the “Alice and Dodie Show!”. The channel was created on August 1, 2007, and shared with Alice Webb. On February 7, 2011, Dodie created a channel called “doddleoddle.” She released her original song on the channel, which was also her first video there entitled “Rain.”
Dodie self-released her debut EP entitled, Interwined on November 18, 2016. The EP reached number 35 on the United Kingdom album charts in its first week despite its unsigned status. She has hosted CokeTV by Coca-Cola alongside Manny Brown, a fellow YouTuber. They together took part in many activities. Dodie announced in June 2017 that she would be writing a book. She published her autobiographical book on November 2, 2017. The book is entitled Secrets for the Mad: Obsessions, Confessions, and Life Lessons.
On August 11, 2017, Dodie came up with her second EP entitled, You. The EP reached number 6 on the official UK album charts. It was 29 places higher than her debut EP. The album also debuts at number 55 in the United States Billboard 200. On May 7, 2021, Dodie released her debut studio album entitled, Build a Problem.
