DJ Isaac Information
On June 8, 1974, Roel "DJ Isaac" Schutrups was born in Winschoten, Holland. When he first started in the music industry, all he had to work with was an old-school tape recorder and a little Casio sampler to create remixes for Dutch radio stations.
Eventually, he upgraded to better gear and honed his producing technique, resulting in his debut album, 1995's "Bad Dreams," a massive hit in the Dutch hardcore techno scene. As a result, DJ Isaac took up the turntables and quickly established himself as a leading figure in developing hard-hitting techno in the Netherlands. He performed in many different nations, including the United States, Australia, Japan, Colombia, Russia, Italy, and Spain.
DJ Isaac's debut club-trance remix of Hani's "Baby Wants To Ride" peaked in the top ten of European singles charts back in 1999. After that, he did remixes for acts like Scoop, C.R.W. (Mauro Picotto), Cosmic Gate, Brooklyn Bounce, and Safri Duo.
For over a year, DJ Isaac collaborated with one of the best DJ/producer teams in the Netherlands, Pronti & Kalmani, to mix the top dance songs on Radio 538, the country's most popular radio station. He also co-founded the hard house outfit P.I.K. with them, which dominated the Dutch dance charts for a while.
