Destructo Information
Gary Richards (December 31, 1970) is an American DJ, concert promoter, and music executive. He was born in Washington, D.C. He is professionally known as Destructo. His family moved to Los Angeles, California, and he booked his first shows and performed as a DJ at 18. He started performing as a DJ in the mid-1990s. Destructo has performed around the world for more than ten years. He has shared the stage with some notable names of Electronic music.
On June 10, 2013, Destructo released an EP entitled, Higher. It was released through OWSLA/Boysnoize Records. The EP also featured remixes from Brodinski and Tommy Trash. Agata Alexander directed the music video of EP’s title track. Destructo released another EP on November 24, 2014, entitled, West Coast EP, through Interscope Records. The EP featured appearances by Warren G, Too Short, Kurupt, Ty Dolla Sign, Problem, and YG.
Other albums released by Destructo include Bodyback (2015), 4Real (2016), Beat Down (2016), Techno (2016), Catching Plays (2016), Renegade (2017), All Nite Remixes (2017), Bassface (2017), Loaded (2017), Shots to the Dome (2018), and F**king S**t Up (2018). Destructo released his work through different record labels throughout his career, including HITS HARD, OWSLA< Boysnoize Records, and Interscope Records.
