David Berrie's contemporary house and techno are influenced by a wide variety of music, from early hip-hop and disco through funk and soul and alternative new wave. Berrie was born and raised in New York City, a city renowned for its thriving music culture, and he has been actively participating in it ever since he was a little child when he would sneak into clubs and concerts.
Berrie has been a DJ since he was 18 years old. His extensive knowledge of genres ranging from hip-hop and disco to house and techno has made him a star in venues as diverse as Space Miami, and DC10 Ibiza speaks to his dedication and expertise. Berrie has recorded music on labels including Hot Creations, Cuttin' Headz, and Play It Say It, showcasing the eclectic influences that go into creating his style. Notably, in October this year, Berrie released a collaboration with Jamie Jones that quickly rose to the top five of the Beatport overall chart.
In addition, DJ Mag gave his subsequent EP, Play It Say It, a score of 9 out of 10. In addition, prominent DJs and producers like Carl Cox, Marco Carola, The Martinez Brothers, and Seth Troxler have consistently backed his work. Berrie plans to release new music in the spring of 2019, and he will also begin his Paradise residency at DC10 on the island of Ibiza this coming summer.
