Daniel Francis Noel O'Donnell (December 12, 1961) is an Irish television presenter, philanthropist, and singer born in Kincasslagh, County Donegal. O'Donnell had become popular all over the U.K. and Ireland by the mid-1990s. He won multiple accolades and appeared on hit T.V. shows in both nations. O'Donnell considers his 1989 Donegal Person of the Year award the most prestigious among the honors.
His discography includes multiple appearances on the Independent Albums Chart and 18 albums that have peaked in the Top 20 on U.S. Billboard's World Music Album Chart. In 2011, celebrating his 50th birthday, he was granted an RTÉ Christmas Day special, Daniel at 50. With the release of The Hank Williams Songbook in 2015, O'Donnell made history as the first artist to have 28 years (1988–2015) of new album charting in the U.K. The album peaked at number five on the U.K. Artist Albums Chart.
Dungloe's visitors' center, dedicated to Daniel O'Donnell, was inaugurated in May 2012. His wedding suit, gold discs, and other accolades are on display. He was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing in the fall of 2015. In week four of the series, he was ousted in third place. Their debut television series, Daniel and Majella's B&B Road Trip, premiered in October 2015 and starred Daniel and Majella. Before 2016, it was on RTÉ; that show was on UTV.
