D.J. and record artist Christopher Lee Marshall perform under the moniker Crizzly. He started DJing in 2010 in Austin, Texas, incorporating dubstep, crunk, hyphy, drumstep, and trap elements into his sound. He has several songs out, as well as three mixtapes: Crunkstep (2012), Crunkstep Volume 2: Back 2 Da Streets (2013), and "Crunkstep Volume 3: Booty by Crizzly" (2015). (2014). He has also done remixes of tracks by L.A. Style ("James Brown Is Dead"), Waka Flocka Flame ("Hard in Da Paint"), Jibbs ("Chain Hang Low"), Lil Flip ("The Way We Ball"), and Bassnectar and Excision ("Put It Down").
Lifted Wednesdays at the Ivy Rooftop and Play Thursdayzz at Club Rio are two electronic dance music (EDM) club evenings that Crizzly co-founded in San Antonio in 2011. In that era, Crizzly was hailed for "dominating the crunkstep/dubstep scene with his bass-heavy mixes," according to IndyMojo.com. My San Antonio called a Crizzly performance "an adrenaline-addled 90-minute hybrid of a frat party and dance marathon," the band frequently tours the United States. He has performed at the Electric Daisy Carnival, Escape From Wonderland, Warped Tour, and List of Lollapalooza lineups by year#Lollapalooza.
