Citizen Queen Information
Citizen Queen is an American girl group. The band's current lineup consists of Nina Nelson, Kaylah Sharve, Kaedi Dalley, and Cora Isabel. A week was spent recording "four fully produced songs and music videos" in an Airbnb in Los Angeles, where the band got together. In January 2019, they uploaded a mashup of 25 songs called "Evolution of Girl Groups" to YouTube, which quickly became a viral hit.
By the end of 2020, it had over 20 million views, with approximately 10 million by June 2019. The band went on a nine-week tour with Pentatonix and Rachel Platten starting in July 2019. After that, they went on to make popular music videos for songs including "No Tears Left to Cry" by Ariana Grande, "Lost in Japan" by Shawn Mendes, and "Never Enough" from "The Greatest Showman."
They covered En Vogue's "Free Your Mind" at RCA Records and the Human Rights Campaign's 2020 Pride Benefit Concert in June of that year. Justin Tranter, Nova Wav, and Shawn Wasabi wrote featuring a music video directed by Lauren Dunn, "Call Me Queen" was the group's debut original single, released in December 2020.
Written by Nova Wav, Kiana Ledé, Nina Nelson, Amiyah "AJ" Brown, Kaedi Dalley, Kaylah Sharve', and Cora Isabel, with additional contributions from Kiana Ledé and Amiyah "AJ" Brown, the group's debut track "XO" was released in June 2022 alongside a music video helmed by Jadagrace.
