Cirez D Information
Eric Prydz (July 19, 1976) is a Swedish music producer and DJ. He was born in Taby, Stockholm County. He is professionally known by both Prydz and Cirez D. Maybe the song "Call on Me" from 2004 is what made Prydz famous. It spent 5 weeks at the top of the UK singles chart and six weeks at the top of Germany's Top 100. Despite the song's instrumental role in Prydz's meteoric rise to fame, he no longer performs it live. Prydz's popularity has grown among both underground and mainstream music listeners.
Prydz's "Miami to Atlanta" album featured the "Pryda snare" debut in 2009. Common in house and trance, the Pryda snare is a compressed, prolonged snare sample played towards the bar's end. Used to denote structural changes in songs, it has been sampled extensively by EDM artists like Martin Garrix, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and W&W.
Prydz's first full-length studio album, Opus, was released on February 5, 2016. Using the alias Four Tet, Kieran Hebden reworked the album's title track and released it in October 2015. Prydz and Luke Versalko from Mashable worked together on June 28 to release a short documentary on creating Prydz's Epic 4.0 performance. He was a guest on Insomniacs Night Owl Radio in June of 2016.
