Christian Lopez (1995) is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He was born in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Lopez was also a member of the Christian Lopez Band, where he was the leader and guitarist. In addition to Lopez, the band comprised Jason Navo on bass and Cameron McClaren on drums as of 2017.
Lopez has two folk-rock and Americana albums and an EP to her credit. Lopez's lyrics and performance have "the earnestness and wide-open view of the world that we haven't seen since the early days of Paul Simon," according to Americana Music Show. According to Rolling Stone, Lopez was selected "best newcomer" at the Americana Music Festival & Conference in 2015; he said he "packed so much dynamic energy into his act."
Lopez released his first full-length album, Onward, in May 2015. Dave Cobb produced it, as he did with his previous EP (Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton). On May 12, 2015, Popmatters streamed the album. From then on, the single "Will I See You Again" earned over 1 million Spotify streams, while the song "Leaving It Out" spent several weeks on the CMT Pure Country "12 Pack Countdown."
