Chris Kroeze is a vocalist from the US who was born on January 28, 1991. Even though he's only 27 years old, he finished second in the 15th season of the American singing competition The Voice.
Krooze grew up in Barron, Wisconsin. When he was six years old, his parents gave him a guitar, and he quickly picked it up and began to play. At the age of thirteen, he began singing in middle school, and by the time he was a senior in high school, he was playing in local taverns with a band.
Kroeze joined the cast of The Voice for its fifteenth season in 2018. He sang Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Pride and Joy" at his blind audition. After Jennifer Hudson and Blake Shelton turned, he decided to join Blake's team.
During their duel, Shelton went ahead of Kroeze while singing "Back in the High Life Again" by Will Jennings and Steve Windwood with folk rock vocalist Mercedes Ferreira-Dias. Even though blues rock musician Michael Lee was named the victor, Shelton utilized his "save" to advance Kroeze in the knockout rounds.
Krooze advanced to the finals on December 18, 2018, finishing second.
