Charlotte de Witte Information
Charlotte de Witte (July 21, 1992) is a Belgian DJ and record producer renowned for her "dark and stripped-down" acid and minimal techno born in Ghent, Belgium. Witte is also known for her stage name from the past, "Raving George." She started the KNTXT record label.
After discovering the underground party scene in Ghent around 2009, she became interested in electronic music. She first performed as a DJ in 2010, specializing in electro music. About two years later, she began working as a producer. After taking first place in a DJ competition hosted by Studio Brussel in 2011, she went on to play at the Tomorrowland music festival.
She debuted on KNTXT in 2019. KNTXT has distributed albums by notable artists such as Chris Liebing, Monoloc, and Alignment. The following year, the DJ Awards named her the greatest techno DJ in the world. Since 2019, she has established herself as one of the most acclaimed DJs in the techno genre, earning her the moniker "techno queen" while winning notable awards within the industry.
De Witte proposed to Italian techno DJ Enrico Sangiuliano on social media on February 5, 2021. The couple's debut album, a remix of the Italian and Belgian trance classic "The Age of Love" (1990), was released later that year. The remix was so successful that it topped the list of techno bestsellers on Beatport in 2021 and was awarded a gold record for selling more than 500,000 copies.
