Charlotte Adigery Information
Charlotte Adigery is a Belgian musician. He was born in Narbonne, France. The 2016 Belgica film was scored by David and Stephen Dewaele, aka Soulwax or 2ManyDJs, and has a song titled "The Best Thing," on which Adigéry provided vocals. Adigéry dropped a four-track EP on DEEWEE under his name in 2017. Adigéry sings in English, French, and Créole on the album. It was co-created by Bolis Pupul and himself and produced and mixed by the Dewaele twins.
Adigéry's 2019 EP Zandoli was written and produced by Bolis Pupul, and it was co-produced and mixed by Stephen and David Dewaele of Soulwax for the label DEEWEE. On the first track, titled "Paténipat," she performs a Creole vocal solo. It was used in the promo for the upcoming John Malkovich 2020 HBO series The New Pope. As part of the marketing for Zandoli, La Blogothèque shot Adigéry performing a Take Away Show at this year's Pete the Monkey Festival in July.
There is a limited edition cassette single by Adigéry and his regular partner Bolis Pupul and the Dewaele brothers titled Yin Yang Self-Meditation, and it was published on DEEWEE in 2019. Using stream of consciousness, Adigéry investigates racism, songwriting, and the artist's identity. Adigéry has another, more raw and punkish project under the name WWWater.
