Charles Esten Information
Charles Esten Puskar III (September 9, 1965) is an American comedian, actor, and musician born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. However, when he was 9, he moved to Alexandria, Virginia. Esten completed his graduation in 1983 from T.C. Williams High School, Alexandria. He also played football at high school for the Titans. Esten made his first television appearance in 1988 as a contestant on the NBC game show Sale of the Century. This appeared under the name Chip Puskar.
Esten made another debut in 1992 with a chance to appear on an improvisational television comedy series, Whose Line Is It Anyway? He took part in the show's format with host Drew Carey where his singing talent was exposed. He used to sing on musical games of the series regularly with Wayne Brady.
Esten has made guest star appearances in several television series, including The Office, The Mentalist, Jessie, NCIS: Los Angeles, ER, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Married… With Children. He was also part of Nashville's main cast, where he starred as Deacon Claybourne from 2012 to 2018. Esten made another notable appearance as a celebrity contestant on, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire in 2013.
