Chance Peña, a 23-year-old singer, songwriter, and producer, was born and raised in Tyler, Texas. He began playing music at a young age and has since developed his distinctive style, combining traditional storytelling with contemporary musical elements. At the tender age of seventeen, he signed on as a songwriter with Secret Road Music Publishing, where he achieved rapid success. Peña keeps polishing his craft by creating, arranging, and performing his music.
The dream-chaser ballad "Up, Up & Away" by Peña became famous in early 2019 after it was featured in the critically praised touching drama Five Feet Apart. Later that year, on September 27th, 2019, Chance released his debut EP, "Anxiety & mixed emotions." The EP detailed the personal struggles and events that Chance went through while preparing to leave his hometown of Tyler, Texas, for Los Angeles the following year.
In 2020, Peña got his first major label deal and then his first Grammy nomination with "Conversations in the Dark" by John Legend, the lead single from his Grammy-winning album "Bigger Love," which he had co-written a few months earlier. Since then, he has written and produced for other artists and projects, recorded multiple singles with friends and collaborators, and published an EP called "The Inevitable," which plays on the theme of life's inevitabilities.
