Chad Prather is a motivational speaker and comedian known for his series of YouTube videos in which he comments on right-leaning politics, life, and current events. In 2015, his video entitled “Unapologetically Southern” went viral and was featured on Fox News. He grew up in Augusta, Georgia, and attended Westside High School, where he graduated in 1991. For further studies, he went to the University of Georgia and received a degree in Communications. He also completed his masters from Columbia International University.
The television network, Ride TV, approached Prather to host a humor-travel show called “It Was My Backyard” in 2013. He began using social media outlets to promote the program while he was hosting it. Prather has also appeared on other media outlets such as CNN, MSN, Fox and Friends, and Nash Country Weekly. Prather often wears a cowboy hat and speaks from his truck.
Prather began the Kings of Cowtown World Comedy Tour in 2016 along with Cowboy Bill Martin, a Fort Worth, Texas-based comedian. He worked with Steve McGrew in 2017 and released a satirical song entitled “I’ve Got Friends in Safe Spaces," based on Garth Brooks hit entitled “Friends in Low Places.” Prather is also known for hosting the “The Chad Prather Show” on Blaze TV.
